Our Story:

Peggy Burlison, a parent of a child with a disability, founded Bridges of Indiana in August of 2000. Armed with a firm commitment to home and community based services, coupled with a unique perspective on how these services should be delivered, our agency was established and the vision of a parent became a reality. As the need for quality based home services increased, Bridges of Indiana expanded its own style of service to many other individuals throughout Indiana. Almost 13 years later, Peggy has turned her attention to other projects to empower people with disabilities while her son Jonathan Burlison continues to carry on her legacy to make a difference.

While finishing his education, Jonathan went on to serve his country by enlisting in the United States Airforce. Once his time in the Space Command division was completed, he dove into the professional business world. He soon realized that his background in the military and business along with his passion for people with disabilities, would lead to his life's work. He and his wife then moved back to Indiana to continue the family business and raise their family. Today, Jonathan is a very active member of the community. He is currently serving as a member of the INARF Board of Directors and Executive Committee taking on the role of Secretary as well as Co-Chair of Government Affairs. Jonathan is also on the Terre Haute Boys & Girls Club Board of Directors and Executive Committee where he is an active part of making a difference for the area's youth. When he is not spending time in the community supporting causes at events, he is raising money for the causes that are important to his family and Bridges of Indiana. Jonathan has continued his mother's passion of serving individuals with disabilities by expanding her vision into 41 counties throughout Indiana, advancing quality care through promoting independence and individualism.
